2019 Heartland Award Nominations

​

The 2nd Heartland Alcohol & Substance Abuse Conference is being held September 25th-26th, 2019. in Norman, Oklahoma at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Please consider the five award types for your nomination.

​

All nominations must be  submitted by July 15th, 2019

​

  1. Community Project Award: 
    Awarded to a community coalition that has created or instituted a progressive project/program,      and in doing so has made a substantial impact on alcohol and other drugs (AOD) in their community. 
     

  2. Community Leader Award:
    Awarded to an individual community member that has shown a passion for preventing AOD, through volunteering and collaborating with local coalitions, law enforcement, schools, etc. This individual is active in their community and is a local advocate for prevention efforts. 
     

  3. LEO Award:
    Awarded to a law enforcement individual or agency that has demonstrated proactive efforts on enforcing and preventing substance abuse. 
     

  4. Preventionist Award:
    Awarded to an individual who has shown leadership in reducing substance abuse in their community. This can be through supervision or by direct involvements in programs that are reducing substance abuse. 
     

  5. Education Award:
    Awarded to an educator or institution (in higher education or secondary education) that has created a system to prevent or reduce substance abuse.
